Hauk - October Skies

We climbed up out onto the rocks
Watched the waves break into spray
Cold wind struck like electric shock
The sky turned to a dusky gray

And there beneath the stormy sky
We laughed aloud as the waves crashed higher
We climber back down across the beach
And built the base of our bonfire

Past midnight and the moon is fading
A crescent dark against the stars
Drain the horn with the embers fading

Black against the October sky
